Last week (17 June) CM published on its web site that the port had experienced problems during implementation of the new TOS, which had caused backlogs within the port. At the time, the port operator issued an e-mail notice urging customers to avoid unnecessary truck trips to the terminal until the backlog was cleared.
Originally Maher had a scheduled closing for the initial implementation of the new TOS, which replaces in-house technology that had been used for years.
In the statement, the operator said that following successful implementation of earlier phases it had commenced with the implementation and extensive testing of the final phase. However, the operation had encountered some “unexpected issues”.
