Opening in 2008 and capable of handling the largest containership among all of Ukraine’s container terminals following recent dredging, the facility has experienced rapid growth resulting in the constant upgrading of its capacity and technological capabilities.
As a result the management decided to implement a comprehensive automated operating system earlier this year, enabling the terminal to move into full-scale process automation to achieve an annual handling target of 350,000 teu. Working closely with the port authority, the new system had to be dynamically oriented to react to all changes and requirements in the port’s own internal host system.
The Solvo TOS also supports automatic weighing of boxes and truck visit processing without time-slotting, and is flexible enough to adapt to the business-processes of the terminal.
