Konecranes to cut employee numbers

The statutory negotiations will affect all personnel at Konecranes Plc, Konecranes Finland and Konecranes Service in Finland, and will be made through permanent reductions and early retirements and by cutting back on the use of hired personnel and temporary employees.

The statutory negotiations are estimated to be completed by the end of first quarter of 2014 and the actions are expected to affect a maximum of 600 people globally. Konecranes currently employs approximately 12,000 personnel in 48 countries
