The first train with 43 containers departed from the Chinese city of Suzhou in southeast of Jiangsu Province in Eastern China at the beginning of October, with its arrival in Poland’s capital Warsaw scheduled for this week.
Raniel Ryczek, CEO of Cargosped, commented: “It will be a regular service. Far East Land Bridge in cooperation with Chinese, Russian and Belarusian railways plans to develop the connection during the next year, with even as many as five departures per week. The company also considers organising road transports from the final destination to end clients.”
What distinguishes this service from other rail connections over the so-called Euroasian Land Bridge, is the fact that it links a city not from Western, but Eastern China.
