The continuous tread belts of the CS20 help to deal with higher lateral loads and enhance stability when transporting heavy loads and performing frequent directional changes or turn maneuvers. The tread of the CS20 features the double-L-design with a rounded groove contour for excellent traction and self-cleaning characteristics.
The Continental SC20 Mileage+ has an innovative rubber compound with short chain sulphur connections that extends mileage and reduces service and maintenance costs. “The SC20 Mileage+ is the first tyre using this new compound,” said Dr. Michael Andreas Maertens, managing director of Continental Commercial Specialty Tyres. The tread area provides maximal resistance to punctures and cuts and these features result in a reduced wear and an enhanced service life, he added.
The SC20 Energy+ features a low rolling resistance and the tyre is especially suitable for battery-powered vehicles used in indoor application. Due to the low rolling resistance, vehicles consume less energy and battery lifetime is extended. This results in less downtime and lower operating costs. In addition, the optimised rolling qualities reduce the heat development within the tyre which improves durability even when carrying heavy loads.
