A Hong Kong court has decided in favour of a former executive and awarded him US$2.3m in unpaid salary from CMA CGM after a six-year battle.
The case revolved around whether Igal Dafni, 66 was sacked or had resigned in lieu of being terminated.
Court Recorder Horace Wong judged that Dafni was forced to resign, after having been assured by Jacques Saade, CMA CGM’s CEO that he would be paid his full entitlements under his job contract.
