Double digit Algerian order for Liebherr

Liebherr Maritime Cranes has received an impressive order for 20 mobile harbour cranes (LHM) from an association of seven Algerian ports. To be delivered to Algiers, Annaba, Béjaia, Ghazaouet, Mostaganem, Oran and Skikda, the cranes will be used for a variety of tasks including the handling of general cargo, dry bulk and containers.

All 20 LHMs will be operational during 2014.

The preferred choice of the Algerian ports is the LHM 280 model with eleven units being delivered to the above seven ports. In addition, Entrerprise Portuaire de Skikda has opted for two units of Liebherr’s newest model the LHM 420 which was introduced in 2011 and another LHM 420 will soon start operations at Entreprise Portuaire de Béjaia.
