Tideworks Technology’s Terminal Operating System (TOS) has been chosen by Sea Star Line, for its Jacksonville, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico terminals in order to update the terminals’ technology, streamline processes and boost customer service levels.
The project includes implementation of Tideworks’ Mainsail Vanguard, Spinnaker Planning Management System, Traffic Control, and GateVision. In addition, Tideworks will provide its managed EDI Porter service, enabling Sea Star to exchange information with its trading partners and other enterprise systems. The IT infrastructure supporting the TOS will be hosted at Tideworks’ data centre.
“Sea Star is investing heavily in modernising its operations by investing in terminal infrastructure,” said Tim Nolan, Sea Star Line’s president. “The application of a commercial terminal operating system under a full-service model will help bring (our) terminals up to date and poises us well for future growth.”
