Modern Terminals hits 100m teu

Modern Terminals Limited, operator of the first purpose-built container terminal in Hong Kong, has celebrated the arrival of its 100 millionth teu.

The company opened that terminal in 1972 after 20 months of construction and reached the 30m teu milestone 27 years later in 1999.

“Now, only 15 years later, we have achieved another incredible landmark as we top the 100 m teu mark,” said CEO Sean Kelly.
