Identec announces latest reefer system
Process and automation specialist Identec Solutions has announced the release of its latest generation monitoring and control system for reefer containers.
The real-time wireless CTAS 7.0 Reefer system includes a new Windows-based user interface and middleware platform, providing enhanced “dashboard style” alarms, alerts, reports and business intelligence. Use of the open architecture platform also facilitates integration for other business applications, including synchronisation with terminal operating systems.
Suitable for use in genset, stack and rack operations, the system allows terminal operators to remotely monitor reefer temperatures in real time, as well as adjust set points, perform pre-trip inspections and download data logs. Data is captured by purpose-developed “plug-and-play” long-range active RFID tags, which connect to the reefer’s serial port.
