The first of 28 new vessels for CMA CGM’s fleet has launched, with its maiden voyage beginning today in China.
The Danube is the first in a class of ships that will range from 9,400-10,900 teu and will be delivered between now and the third quarter of 2016.
Sailing under the Malta flag and chartered bareboat to CIMC, the 9,400-teu vessel was built at the Chinese construction site DSIC (Dalian PRC).
