A ‘Commercialisation Australia’ grant, designed to power the country’s innovation in the 21st Century, has helped Mobicon Systems develop and commercialise two models of its latest innovative light-weight mini straddle carrier, including one that will stack containers two-high.
The company has developed a new ECO-Range, comprising a TF and TF2 models that allow the operator to remain in the cabin when connecting/disconnecting containers. The TF2 has a top spreader, which stacks containers two high. Both machines use Swedish-made ELME spreaders.
The company’s managing director, Tom Schults is convinced that the ‘competitive price’ of the machines will accelerate sales and reduce imports of foreign straddle carriers into Australia, while boosting sales of Australian products overseas.
