Terex Port Solutions has delivered an electric Model 3 portal harbour crane in the G HSK 3432 to Pacific Logistc LLC at the Port of Vladivostok in Russia.
The crane will be used in the Sollers Terminal to handle containers; it has a lift capacity of 79 tonnes and maximum radius of 46 m. It has a portal with a track guage of 10.5 m, the standard in Russia, and a portal clearance height of 6 m. Due to the low permissible rail loading it is fitted with a total of 32 wheels – eight at each corner of the crane.
The latest unit is the fourth of the manufacturer’s portal harbour cranes in Vladivostok and the twelfth in Russia. It is fitted with an on-board diesel generator, but is also equipped for connecting to an external power supply to offer the operator the required power supply redundancy. External power from the terminal mains will increase efficiency and reduce noise emissions.
