Terminal de Contenedores Quetzal S.A. (TCQ) in Guatemala, owned by Spanish container terminal operator, Grup TCB, has ordered five rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Konecranes.
The 16-wheel RTGs, which have a lifting capacity of 40 tonnes and can stack one-over-five containers high, and seven plus truck lane wide, will be delivered in autumn 2015.
Konecranes’ sales director, Europe, Kim Salvén, said: “We are excited about this first order to TCQ and Guatemala. These RTGs will offer top productivity and reliability as soon as this new facility goes online.”
