The Edith Maersk, the largest vessel ever to enter the River Thames, arrived at DP World’s London Gateway, at around 6am on Sunday 19 October.
The 396 m-long, 56 m-wide ship has a draught of 16 m and can carry up to 15,500 teu.
The ship left the terminal, which is just weeks shy of celebrating its first anniversary, on Sunday night bound for Singapore. The Edith Maersk is deployed on Maersk Line’s AE2 (Asia-Europe 2) service.
