Bremerhaven and Rotterdam awarded most productive ports in Europe
The Port of Bremerhaven has been recognised as the port with the highest berth productivity in Europe in the first half of 2014, based on data compiled by the Journal of Commerce.
The Port of Rotterdam came second with the Spanish ports of Barcelona and Algeciras coming joint third.
This is the first time that ports from Southern Europe have been ranked in the top three.
