Expansion and acquisitions at Contship Italia terminals

Contship Italia’s La Spezia Container Terminal’s (LSCT) acquisition of Speter S.p.A, reported in CM earlier this year, is now complete, as is the integration of the organisation, systems and processes.

Now the terminal, generally recognised as a specialist in the deep-sea container trades, has expanded services to include short sea trades linking Italy and North Africa, handling both containers, general cargo and bulks.

The terminal has also seen an increase in cruise traffic.
