The CEO of Maersk Line, Soren Skou has said that ships with capacities of 25,000 teu are a possibility but that they are not practical in today’s market.
The comment came at this year’s Transpacific Maritime Conference (TPM) in Long Beach on Monday 2 March.
Skou said that he expects 18,000 and 19,000 teu container ships to remain the largest deployed for years to come based on practicality.
