A planned indefinite strike by Indian port workers, which was due to start today, has been postponed by a week.
The decision to postpone was made by unions after a meeting with the Indian chief labour commissioner (CLC).
In the meantime, three important meetings are planned: today with the Indian Ports Association, on Thursday with the shipping secretary and on Friday with the CLC.
