Maersk Line and APM Terminals reported a loss in market share in the first quarter of 2015 despite net profit rising by 18%.
The Danish shipping line, which is the largest shipping company in the world, suffered a decline in freight rates and volumes.
Average freight rates declined 5.1% in the first quarter and Maersk Line’s volumes decreased by 1.6%. As a whole, the market grew about 1% globally.
