The Swedish lift truck business of Finnish manufacturer Konecranes has built its 5,000th lift truck.
The unit is a SMV CCX4, a reach stacker especially designed for intermodal operations, and with the capacity to lift wagons, trailers and swap bodies up to 45 tonnes capacity at first rail.
The reachstacker will go to Cargo Terminal Lehmann, which is owned and managed by the German Hans Lehmann group, a shipping and port operations company with further interests in ready-mixed concrete.
The company will attend a special handing-over ceremony at Konecranes production plant in Markaryd, in inland Southern Sweden.
The machine can lift 35 tonnes at second rail to fit its customer’s row rail operation at 6450 mm load centre.
It is a C generation lift truck and comes with an Optima cabin; it also complies with the EU’s stage 4 engine relations.
