Maersk Line has made its third new-building order in the last 10 months, this time ordering nine vessels with a capacity of 14,000 teu.
The US$1.1bn contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) includes an option for up to eight additional vessels.
The nine vessels will join Maersk Line’s fleet in 2017 and sail under the Singaporean flag.
