A hunger strike and slowdown by outsourced RTG operators at Gateway Terminals India (GTI) has severely disrupted the terminal’s operations.
According to an NYK Line customer advisory, operations at the terminal came to a standstill at 7am local time on 4 August, after an unsuccessful meeting between workers and management the previous day.
The RTG operators, who have previously been on hunger strike, decided to take part in a go-slow on 31 July which had severely hindered operations.
