Final approval for Seattle and Tacoma alliance
The Northwest Seaport Alliance between Seattle and Tacoma came into existence on August 4 after it was approved by the commissions of both ports.
A Port Development Authority (PDA) will be formed to promote the Alliance’s marine cargo operations.
The two ports will conduct joint business planning and marketing but will remain separate organisations, retaining ownership of their respective assets.
