APMT purchases Vado Ligure Reefer Terminal
APM Terminals (APMT) has announced that it has purchased Vado Ligure Reefer Terminal in North-Western Italy, near Genoa, from the GF Group. The terms and the price of the deal were not disclosed.
Reefer Terminal, which APMT said has been the largest refrigerated terminal in the Mediterranean for more than 30 years, handles 600,000 pallets a year as well as 275,000 teu.
It has 510 reefer plugs, 465 m of quay, a depth of 14.5 m and four rail tracks, which will be linked to the off-dock rail facility being constructed as part of the adjacent APMT Vado container terminal.
