Coating supplier Hempel has announced that Henrik Andersen will succeed Pierre-Yves Jullien as CEO by 1 March 2016.
Andersen, who will hold the new role after the retirement of Jullien next year, has been the Group COO Europe and the Middle East of the facility services company ISS in Copenhagen since May 2013.
He started working at ISS in 2000 as Corporate Group Treasurer, a role he held from January 2000 to October 2004.
Andersen was promoted to CFO of ISS UK in October 2005 and then to CEO in January 2009.
He returned to Copenhagen in December 2011, when he became the Group CFO at ISS until September 2013.
Prior to joining ISS, Andersen spent more than 10 years working at Jyske Bank, from January 1990 to December 1999.
He has been a non-executive director of the board of the wind energy company Vestas A/S since 2013, where he is the chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the investment committee of Maj Invest PE IV.
Andersen has been awarded a Master of Law from the University of Aarhus in 1997 and a diploma in International Finance and Trade from the Business School of Aarhus in 1992.
