German firm Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has received a combined order for four diesel-electric Terex Gottwald mobile harbour cranes in Latin American and the Caribbean.
The Brazilian Port of Açu has purchased two Model 4 cranes in the G HMK 4406 B four-rope-grab variant, while Sint Maarten’s Port of Philipsburg and Haiti’s Port of Port-au-Prince have each purchased one Model 6 crane in the G HMK 6507 two-rope-grab variant.
Port of Açu’s new crane is supplied with mechanical grabs and automatic single-lift spreaders, and has a radius up to 46 m, a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tonnes and a 40-tonne grab curve, while the Model 6 cranes offer a radius up to 51 m, a maximum lifting capacity of 125 tonnes and hoisting speeds up to 120 m/min.
