Koper orders Konecranes yard cranes

The Port of Koper has ordered seven electric rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes and two rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMG) cranes from Konecranes.

The RTGs are equipped with cable reels and the RMGs will feature Konecranes Active Load Control system, an integrated sway prevention and fine positioning system that aims to provide maximum container handling productivity.

The electric RTGs will also be equipped with auto-steering, which keeps the crane on a pre-programmed, straight path, and auto-positioning, which is able to automatically stop the crane in the correct position for the target container or slot.
