France-based Port Community System (PCS) provider SOGET has announced that it signed a contract with the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) to implement its S)ONE PCS in the country.
The French firm, which signed the contract along with the Bureau Inspection Valuation Assessment Control (BIVAC), part of the Paris-based certification services’ provider Bureau Veritas, claimed that the project represents the largest PCS in the Americas covering six seaports and two airports.
S)ONE, which is a neutral and open electronic collaborative platform enabling intelligent and secure exchange of information between public and private stakeholders, is expected to provide optimization, collaboration and automation of trade logistics processes nationwide in Jamaica through a single submission of data.
