Over 70% of new container ships to have eco-engines
Data released by VesselsValue has shown that 72% of container ships delivered in 2016 will have environmentally-friendly engines.
The biggest recipients of these container ships will be the Bank of Communications with 12, followed by United Arab Shipping Company with eight, Eastern Pacific Shipping, Zodiac Maritime and SinOceanic Shipping.
On the other hand, the biggest recipient of ships with non-ecologically friendly engines will be Quanzhou Ansheng with eight, followed by Mandarin Shipping, Ningbo Ocean Shipping Company, Ciner Ship Management and Apollo Rickmers Box Ship JV.
