Plans for a public-private-partnership (PPP) modernisation for Sasa Port in Davao, the southernmost island in the Philippines, have been criticised by local businessmen.
The PHP19bn (US$420m) project will involve the development of the existing Davao Sasa Port in Davao City into a container terminal and five bidders will submit proposals in January 2016.
These bidders comprise a DP World consortium, Bollore Africa Logistics, International Container Terminals Services, Inc. (ICTSI), Portek International and a consortium involving APM Terminals (APMT).
