Kalmar to supply RTGs to Algerian port of Oran

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has won an order for seven rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, worth €10m (US$11m), for the Port of Oran Container Terminal in Algeria. Conductix-Wampfler has completed what it claimed was Canada’s first electrified rubber-tyred gantry (E-RTG) container crane conversion at the Port of Montreal. Israeli shipping company Zim will be restructuring its main services on major trades. The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey and Global Container Terminals (GCT) have started construction of a ship-to-rail port facility adjacent to the recently expanded GCT Bayonne container terminal.
