Konecranes sticks by Stig Gustavson despite fraud allegations
Stig Gustavson will continue in his role as chairman of Konecranes board despite being criminally charged with allegedly carrying out aggravated subsidy fraud in a previous position.
In a statement, the company said: “The board of directors and its nomination and compensation committee have now acquainted themselves with the matter and not found anything, which would give the reason to question Stig Gustavson’s suitability and ability to act as the chairman of the board of directors.”
The charges relate to Gustavson’s time as chairman of the board of Park East Management Oy between 2011-2012.
