Liebherr sells reachstacker to Antwerp

The operator of an Antwerp intermodal terminal has ordered a Liebherr LRS 545 reachstacker.

Katoen Natie’s new machine has a diesel engine and can stack five containers high in the first row and four containers high in the third row. As for loads, it is capable of handling 45 tonnes in the first row and 21 tonnes in the third row.

One of the distinguishing features of the reachstacker is a large glass panel that unites the front window with the side windows. The exclusion of the A-pillar combined with the curved window design allows the driver a panoramic view. Visibility is increased further with wide angle mirrors and a rear view camera.
