A wildfire has shut down roads and railway lines between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, which transport much of the container traffic which passes between Asia and the USA.
On August 16, a drought-ridden mountain pass caught fire and major roads like Freeway 15, which connects Los Angeles and Long Beach to Nevada and Central USA, were shut down.
Truckers were forced to take lengthy and congested mountainous small roads to avoid the fire and traffic.
