Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro recorded its highest rate of cargo theft in 23 years in 2015, a report from business standards company British Standards Institution (BSI)’s Supply chains and Solutions claimed.
The latest Global Supply Chain Security and Business Continuity Risk Index report showed that Brazil was the top country to suffer from heightened cargo theft risks, followed closely by Venezuela and Germany.
The number of cargo theft incidents taking place in Rio de Janeiro went up by 23% to 7,225 last year.
