Koper buys first of Konecranes Boxporter RMGs
The Port of Koper in Slovenia has bought the first of Finnish manufacturer Konecranes’ recently launched Boxporter rail-mounted gantry crane (RMG) units.
The company, which introduced the new Boxporter RMG to the market at the TOC Europe exhibition in June this year, is expected to deliver the unit to the port’s operator Luka Koper in 2017.
The unit is a new RMG equipped with an advanced operating system which is expected to significantly improve the crane operator’s view over every container move.
