Coating supplier Hempel has announced that it launched internal audits and dismissed four employees in its German branch as local authorities investigate on alleged bribes scandal.
German authorities are currently investigating whether alleged bribes in relation to ship managers and ship owners were made by employees at Hempel Germany.
After acknowledging the authorities’ investigation, the company started its own by launching internal audits in Hempel Germany conducted by an independent external law firm.
