Germany-based equipment manufacturer Liebherr Maritime Crane has announced the delivery of its LHM 600 mobile harbour crane (MHC) to the Port of Kingston, Jamaica.
The new crane, which is claimed to be the biggest crane operated in the Caribbean, is starting operations this month at Kingston Wharves Limited’s multipurpose terminal at the port.
The Port of Kingston already operates Liebherr’s smaller LHM 550 high rise version, which the company claimed in a statement is the former biggest MHC operated in the region.
