“THE Alliance” announces its proposed network

The new alliance is set to start operations in April 2017

The recently established “THE Alliance” has announced the proposed network from when it will start operations in April 2017, subject to completion of regulatory requirements.

The alliance, which consists of carriers Hapag Lloyd, K Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) and Yang Ming, will offer 31 services linking over 75 ports across Asia, North Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, the Indian Sub-Continent and the Middle East.

The alliance plans to use a fleet of over 240 vessels in the Asia/Europe, North Atlantic and Trans-Pacific trade lanes, including the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf/Red Sea.
