Conductix-Wampfler has completed converting Portonave’s full fleet of 18 rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, covering 29 container blocks, into E-RTGs.
The new machines use the manufacturer’s fully automated Drive-In L system and conductor rails.
The project at Portonave, which is the first electrified container terminal in Brazil, located near the city of Navegantes in the state of Santa Catarina, also marks the first port electrification in the country.
