Germany’s duisport has entered a cooperation agreement with China Merchants Group (CMG)’s logistics division to implement joint projects in the trans-Eurasian region.
The strategic agreement between the port and China Merchants Logistics Holdings Co. Ltd. (CML) was signed during a trip to China by a German delegation including the inland port of Duisburg’s CEO Erich Staake.
The new collaboration is part of China’s efforts to establish new partnerships worldwide as part of its “One Belt, One Road” initiative, which aims to enhance connections between the country’s main industrial cities and commercial hubs across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
