DCT Gdansk marks record throughput
Deepwater Container Terminal (DCT) Gdansk handled 1.3m teu in 2016, marking a Polish record for annual container volumes handled.
The facility surpassed its previous record of 1.068m teu in October 2016.
According to a company statement, the result was influenced by the growing need for direct vessel calls in the Baltic and the visible growth of cargo targeted at Eastern and Central European markets.
