Dubai-based port operator DP World has started operating a new multi-purpose terminal at the Port of Saint John, Canada.
The terminal, which can handle all types of cargo including containers, is set to undergo a CA$205m (US$156m) infrastructure modernisation program project to expand its facilities.
The project, which will be carried out by DP World Saint John in partnership with the Saint John Port Authority and the governments of Canada and New Brunswick, is expected to be completed in 2021, with DP World Saint’s John lease continuing for the following 30 years.
