The Port of Antwerp, Belgium, recorded a 4% year-on-year rise in its container throughput last year.
Total container volumes went up from 9.6m teu handled in 2015 to over 10m teu in 2016, representing the first time the port’s volumes surpassed the 10m teu mark.
Last year’s growth was however slower than 2015, when total container volumes had gone up by 7.5% year-on-year.
