The Chinese city of Chengdu, capital of the country’s Sichuan Province, is expected to more than double the number of cargo trains to Europe this year, according to local media.
The Chengdu International Railway Services Company said that almost 1,000 cargo trains will run from the Chinese city to Europe in 2017, compared to 460 run last year.
The city ran cargo trains to cities in Poland, the Netherlands and Germany in 2016.
