APM Terminals (APMT)’s new semi-automated facility in Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico, has received its first official vessel call.
The terminal was called by the 9,600 teu Maersk Salalah as part of the AC2 Transpacific service from Asia.
Now that the first phase of construction is complete, APMT Lázaro Cárdenas Terminal 2 (TEC2) has a capacity of 1.2m teu, occupies an area 49 ha and features a 750 m quay with a depth of 16.5 m.
