DP World has reported a 5.7% rise in its gross container volumes in the first quarter of 2017 mainly thanks to growth at its terminals in Europe and the Americas.
The port operator handled a total of 16.4m teu across its container terminals, a 5% increase on a like-for-like basis.
The company reported growth in all three of its segments, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) stabilising and recording a 1.8% year-on-year rise in volumes to 3.7m teu.
