Orders received by Konecranes’s ports solutions business rose by 44.1% between January and March when compared to the combined results of the brand and its acquired Terex Material Handling and port solutions (MHPS) segment.
This means the enlarged company’s ports solutions segment had a whopping 254.7% increase in order intake, when compared to the results of solely the Finnish manufacturer last year.
However, port segment sales slipped by 17.7% and overall sales dipped 4.7% when combined to combined company figures from the equivalent period in 2016.
