Freight traffic between Germany’s Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport) and China will increase after the Chinese operator of the YXE International Container Train opened an office in Duisburg.

The train has travelled regularly between Duisburg and the Chinese city of Yiwu, which is one of China’s larger trading and eCommerce centres, since 2014. Two thirds of all Christmas items sold around the world come from Yiwu.

The Yixinou International Freight GmbH branch office will act as a contact point both for the Port of Duisburg’s logistic companies as well as the industry and trade in the region.
